As more New Yorkers flock in droves away from the place known as Club Row (Home of Marquee, Bungalow 8, Pink Elephant, and a slew of other previously premiere New York venues), so too do the celebs.
Long before the New York socialites disappear, and the B & T move in, do the celebrities abandon ship. Likely sick of the paparazzi shots, drunk driving tickets, and overall poor media approval of their drunken nights (See Paris Hilton, Lindsay Lohan), these celebs are now flocking to secret, more exclusive, intimate venues in the Big Apple.
Goldbar, Socialista, Upstairs, Beatrice, are all relatively new venues that host small celeb packed environments promising no paparazzi interaction.
Dicaprio is often a staple at Upstairs on Sunday Nights – a personal friend of the owner Danny A. Danny’s claim to fame comes through Marquee as celebrity promoter extraordinaire. In this video on TMZ.com he gets pulled over on 5th avenue with Leo in tow.
We were at Upstairs last Wednesday when John Mayer, Hillary and Hayley Duff were all in attendance.
